Township police were called to the 300 block of Beech Street at about 11:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired, the department wrote in a release.

On the scene, the alleged victim also told police they had received "harassing voicemails" from the suspect in the hours before the shooting, according to the department. Another witness said they heard the shot and immediately looked out the window to see the suspect fleeing in a vehicle, police said.

Investigators searched the road and recovered a 9mm shell casing, authorities added.

Early on Wednesday, March 22, police "met with" the suspect and found a 9mmm handgun in his car, they claimed. The gun was loaded with the "same casing found at the Beech Street scene," officials said.

Richard Rachlin, 46, no fixed address, was charged with firearms not to be carried without a license, a felony, as well as misdemeanor weapon possession, reckless endangerment, propulsion of missiles onto roadways, and harassment, according to court records.

At his arraignment Wednesday, Rachlin was remanded to the Bucks County lockup in lieu of 10 percent of a $100,000 bond, police added.
